What bothers me deep down is that the creator(s) of bitcoin have not been identified yet. It will always make me wonder if there's another game at play here.

I hear you. That's pretty much why despite seeing the potential, I'm limiting my exposure knowing full well it could all disappear tomorrow.
 
My gut feeling is that bitcoin is the brainchild of the Cypherpunk group.

Specifically Hal Finney and Nick Szabo are the creators of Bitcoin.

If it all disappears then that'd make the whole thing worthless unless they disappear to sell the tech not use the currency for themselves. Sure, in such a scenario they'd have to cash out little by little over time. But disappearing all at once would make the system worthless as you need victims for it to work.

If I was Satoshi I would be keeping very quiet. Imagine all the people that would hit on him for handouts, not to mention the tax man, FBI etc.

Are all the creators of other cryptocurrencies also that mysterious and quiet?
 
@Lunomoney: Any chance you're considering adding credit card buy options to luno? EFT works great during the week, but would be nice to have other buy options over the weekend when no EFT's go through. Snapscan perhaps?
