And this is where a parallel universe splits off: Those who sell will see the price go up, those who buy will see it go down :p.

LOL. True.
And the extent to which you see it is directly proportional to your emotional investment.

well there is another parallel universe that got destroyed today to the that meteor hitting earth.

so yes im glad I got off here, almost got off when it was higher at 79 earlier this morning,
but you win some you lose some....

no regrets, lets see what happens now

Nothing wrong with taking profit. It will probably still go up (probably). And there will be more dips.
Enjoy the profits.

I'm always happy when I get off...

Just a question - has anyone cashed out on all these gains and bought, say, a house or a car?

Thought Luno had that functionality - guess not. Should be standard.

@lunomoney: Why no options for conditional orders (stop loss etc.)?

We don't offer stop loss orders, only limit orders.
You can setup an order to execute when the price is higher for sells and lower for buys.

I've started recently but for now it's an experiment on the profitability / difficulty / experience in general related to mining.
About R16-R18k over the past month. Aim 1 is to pay the 2 miners off in under 3 months and that target is well doable right now. I am considering a scale operation in the near future but am waiting for the next best thing on the mining front before I jump.

As for investing, I will be looking at a weekend trading affair using Leonardo (not the bots - just the tool). I've found the market depth indicators on large exchanges like Poloniex to be very helpful when there's a lot of trading and hype going on and seem to be able to do anywhere between 2 and 8% per day session. Again, it's a learning curve and I've not stuck any significant savings into it. Ill wait for the kids to finish varsity in the next couple of years first.

Any reason you don't allow stop loss orders / don't seem to give any indication of implementing it? Seems like people who trade bitcoin on shorter timescales can't really use luno if you're not providing some very basic trading functionality. Seems like it would be something you could implement - you've obviously made a decision not to?

Admittedly our exchange functionality is quit basic, we've had other priority tasks before concentrating on the exchange side of the product.

Hello guys. And Sabre Wolfie.

I see the price is stubbornly over valued.

So who had sold and taken profit (excl Voicy of course)?

Done and posted here. I've turned about R1k of electricity into around R16k this month. If you're talking about trading, there's another thread for that.

How much did the ASIC miner cost and what kind of lifespan do you expect? I understand they don't last forever.
