Add VAT, R3000 shipping and I got an awesome 5kva UPS with extended battery for about R4k that should hold those up as well as the D3s arriving in November. It's the D3s that are looking risky right now, but all of this is really a pointless discussion until the end of the year IMO. It's then that the real sums can be done. Is it a risky investment? Of course! Will it be worth it? Time will tell.

Yes. Both. It's not bad but I'm under no illusions about it being sustainable. It might turn out well in the long term, it might not. The riskiest part is the waiting 2-3 months for stock after parting with cash while the market doesn't stand still.
