These dramatic ups and downs separate the boys from the HODLers :crylaugh:

Now that all the Dumb money has been liquidated I reckon we'll see it pumping up again to $16K+ by tonight.

Whats the speculation on Cboe Futures Exchange allowing shorts.
Will this effect btc price come Sunday?

Truth. But Daaaaam!

Below is a summary of my first week in bitcoin:
In one week I can promise you I have had many near heart attacks.
I have made all the classic mistakes.
I thought I'll make an easy 1 or 2 % extra on trading each day.....I mean how had can it be :crylaugh:
I sold all and planned to buy all again lower to maximise profit....and missed the drop! Price just went up and I was frantically placing buy orders and resetting them chasing the price, not wanting to get charged a fee.
Ended up buying higher with a fee. Desperation chasing a rocketing price
The drop from 220 to 210 - I panicked. My mate walked into my office and said he had sold at 220 as it was dropping. My app was open so I panicked and saw it at 213. Clicked SELL NOAW!!!!. Instant sale fee and sold at 197 , and and as soon as that happened it bounced at 210 going up.....I panicked again. BUY NAOW!!!!! and paid 217. Yeah that was a great day. :crylaugh: People avoided me at the office :D

Made another trade after that and lost. Yippee.

Put more money in to make up for loss.

After all that though. I think I am getting the hang of this being strong and doing nothing.
I did not budge in the drop from 250, and all today's drama. It's just sitting, and I am watching it less.

I believe that is called growing up into an AdHODLt.

This trading game is too stressful. Lucky my office is only on the first floor.

I'm just gonna chill and come back next year.

When I view (or download) my transaction on Ice3X, it only shows the volume - not the price at which I sold.

:wtf:

Looks like we're in for another quite weekend on Luno. The low volumes have begun.

I think that the high 1% fee is starting to contribute to the lack of traders during quieter periods. With the BTC price now close to R250k, the average Joe that doesn't know about the exchange and trading has to buy for R5k less than he sells at just to break even on fees.

So with the normally lower volumes on weekends, the average Joe doesn't bother to trade anymore which makes the volumes even lower. When people sell for R4k more than they bought and still make a loss they stop trading.

Need some advice: just received my Ledger nano S, and want to send btc to it, but I'm worried about the high fees / unconfirmed transactions. If it doesn't show up in the wallet straight away, I'm going to worry that I did something wrong, as this is the first time I'm doing this... should I wait until there isn't such a backlog (or maybe that time won't come soon?) Does Luno give the option to choose time period/fee?

Thanks :) :)
