I have posted many times before that I used the Immediate Transfer option with ABSA when I sent ZAR to Luno, and it cleared in minutes. Has anyone ever tried it with one of their banks?

I know about that - waiting for funds in my ABSA account - then a transfer to Luno :D

Wow dropped to 138k now back up to 150k. Some people are going to make money with this volatility.

Tis why we love em panic sellers

Yeah it's hard to time the bottom here though. The other day when it broke below R190k for the first time in a while I waited at R186k. It bounced back off R187k to R195k so I lost out.

Today I got in at R178k because it looked like the bottom when the USD price was above $13k. Then it dropped to R165k a couple times (when it shouldn't really have) and that looked like the bottom but the USD price tanked and it dropped again to below R150k (when it shouldn't have again - major R150k buy wall and we were already around the true price).

Don't worry, some more lucky sods will be buying at R132'000 the way this rollecoaster is going today.

Yup. Gonna put in a buy order at that price when funds clear. Too jealous/greedy to miss out on this madness.

Just a bad case of... January. Not entirely unexpected.

The January bills are coming due, the Chinese need to pay for New Year's gifts, the yanks have just had a long weekend and overspent on their credit cards.

I can see sub $10k on the horizon, followed by a wave of media proclaiming Bitcoin dead, again.

But you know what? I'll just hold like I've been holding since 2015...
