Margin trading taking short positions are fine as long as you are not greedy and overleveraged. Oh and it helps to have an actual strategy and not just blindly shorting anything that is moving down. ;)

Now you're just being stupid. Lots of people make money trading over a long period of time. Don't get mad at us if you're not doing the same.
And a lot of people have lost huge chunks of change shorting. What is your point exactly?

As I said, gamblers never lose....even when they make the wrong calls.

So...who is thinking about selling and who is holding?

Slowly doing both. Have 10% more BTC than yesterday morning but the price is 20% or so lower. So worse off in ZAR but will be ready if/when that bull run comes.

What's your take regards ETH Garp?
Cheers!

I like ETH because one of my key metrics for the long term is the strength of the dev community as that's what will really drive fundamentals in the long run and ETH is right up there. That said, there is a lot of up and coming competition.

Over a year trading crypto and I'm still way up.

Lol, is that your show? My sorries man, am sure you'll recover it by buying at $17k, then at $15k, then at $13k....etc

Been trading on pure profit for almost a year. Several times my initial investment cashed out yonks ago so my entry price is technically zero. Umad?

Just seems whenever price drops, people who aren't normally here, hop in 'to discuss' /shrug
I do have cryprocurrency in my possession. And it has lost a lot of value in the last few days.

But I got my initial $ stake out + 20% a month ago, and had bought it when things were reasonably stable...so the remaining amounts is now like play money to me.

Win, lose.....I don't really care. And it wasn't my amazing skills at reading the market that caused me to pull out half my stake. I just happened to need cash at that particular point in time.

So...who is thinking about selling and who is holding?

Already sold. I cashed in my ~250% profit and I'm in the process of investing that into my property. Had over 500% paper profit at some stage, but hodled too long. Once it hit my minimum profit target, I got out. I'm grateful for the money I did make and try not the focus on the "if only I sold earlier" - At least I can now extend and renovate my house with cash, rather than a loan.

I may re-invest in future, but even if I miss the initial bounce up, I'm happy to get in later again once an up curve is established.

I shared this image of my BTC analysis in December. So far so good.
