Ha , that is exactly how they cornered gold(which used to be the standard store of wealth) with futures and contracts , shorting and derivatives . Read Glencore . Blockchain of btc is open to scrutiny, it is the first real chance to take human psychology out of the equation because nobody actually wants chartists and psychology to impact on their electronic gold

So long as Bitcoin is being traded on exchanges there will be human psychology. If we were all mining our own Bitcoin your dream might come true, but I'm guessing the very bitcoin you own was bought at a price determined by a market.
