I saw Luno saying saying you can send bitcoin to email address or telephone number?
I'm not sure if you're trolling right now or not.
No - you can't send bitcoin to a phone number or email address.
Only to another bitcoin address.

IIRC the Send BTC via email/mobile number feature on Luno let's you send Bitcoin to another Luno user. If they don't have an account they'll be asked to create one to receive the BTC.

Makes sense.
Why are you acting like such a noob?

You're dealing with what I presume is money you don't want to lose and you can't differentiate between a message about airtime and bitcoin? Sorry...it just feels like you're taking the piss.

I'd rather ask than pretend I know.

I know I'm sounding like a dick right now but people need to pay attention and stop being so naive. There's no insurance or institution that's going to support you when you transfer your funds to the wrong place. Right now the responsibility is in your hands, and if you're not even paying attention to a notice about airtime vs bitcoin you're going to lose money.

(I've seen people lose money...I'm not trying to give you a hard time just for the sake of it)

They mean you can send to an email address that's already a client of theirs. The transaction is free because it doesn't go through the Blockchain.

+1

Not being a dick. You sometimes have to be cruel to be kind. If one can't find the time or the brain cells to research the basics of cryptocurrency investing without needing spoon feeding, then one should not be getting involved. There is too much volatility and there are too many security risks to get involved if you are not 100% on the ball.

I agree whole heartedly about keeping it off the exchange... But for argument sake. If it does crash or reach your low limit, it takes days to send back to your luno to cash out....

Or am I missing something?

It's a risk you need to take. Keep an eye on the exchange and even find an app that can alert you so you can react in time to catch your low.

That said, wallets are really used for long term storage. If you trading, you'll hardly ever use a storage wallet.

Doesn't Jaxx store "your" private keys in the "cloud"?

Might be wrong - just used it once for some quick altcoin storage
