How does one gauge the current congestion of transactions?

I send BTC from one wallet to another yesterday afternoon.

It only showed up as a unconfirmed transaction on blockchain.info this morning at about 9am. And it still hasn't received a single confirmation?

Doesn't Jaxx store "your" private keys in the "cloud"?

Might be wrong - just used it once for some quick altcoin storage

Not sure how it works but if it is stored on their servers, it is likely stored in hash, at least it should be.

Even a paper wallet has to be created by some machine, somewhere which likely could be storing the information as well.

This has what I'm talking about.. Btc transactions take too long to clear... If you not into hodling forever, you kinda have to keep it on the exchange?

Depends... where are you sending it?

Yes, if you plan on trading back and forth. Personally though I wouldn't worry a hell of a lot if it's on Luno. They just aren't big enough and therefore an unlikely target. Not saying it couldn't happen but I'm sure the amount of effort required to pull off something like this, you'd want the biggest returns and the larger exchanges would provide this.

I mean you wouldn't rob the convenience store around the corner if you could rob a pick n pay.

paperwallet you can run locally and offiline

Yes I'm a noob. I've sent from mycelium, coinomi, a mates luno account into MY lumo account to see what's fastest.. But it All takes days...

Luno to luno you can send to email addresses, should be instant and no fees(ie, send from mates luno to your luno email address, its not going through blockchain, its just being transfered from one luno address to another.)
Exchange to exchange, convert to whatever altcoin both support and use that. DGB is almost instant, thats my choice, but say to luno, you'll have to use ETH as they don't support anything else.(ie, convert your btc to eth on whatever exhange you're using, send the eth to luno, convert the eth back to btc, make sense?)
Exhange to wallet for hodl, well, unless you need to use it from your wallet instantly, then delay doesn't matter
Wallet to exchange, yeah, you'll have to wait

What is your txid?

you can check unconfirmed txs @ https://blockchain.info/unconfirmed-transactions
but this still doesn't mean your tx is moving along the queue waiting to get processed.

BCH dropping, BTC increasing. That's what I like to see.

Seems to have stalled. Will be interesting to see if there is a massive rally after this drop. Some article state that based on the closing yesterday, it's likely to drop to $13500.

Their graphs are the inverse of each other today. When BTC goes up, BCH goes down and vice versa. So there's a battle going on right now, similar to a month ago.

Usually all crypto tends to follow the BTC trend, even BCH. Probably because people have portfolios with diversified cryptos and BTC as their main.

It'll dump into the toilet once gdax opens trading again, only reason for the pump was the build up to that, they froze trading so everything is sort of 'hovering' around and waiting atm.
