It's toying with me today. It was going down for 20 minutes and looked like it would go below R250k. So I sold for R255k (after previously buying and holding at R272k). Then it starts going up again and everyone starts buying. So I buy and can only get in at R263k. Then it starts going down again. Only making losses on every move.

Ye I lost 10% of my holdings in the last half an hour. Such bad luck tonight. As soon as I make a decision the price does the opposite thing.
Why on earth would you sell at a loss?

Ok according to /r/Bitcoin actual trading of BCH only to occur in an hour (8pm)
True, just orderbook open for now, watching that red stack up
The should have wiped it though and started clean orderbook instead of just continuing from where it left off
Edit: can see btc already reacting to that red sell off of bch, loverly

Sell and rebuy for lower. Ive done it before. Was also concerned about what's going to happen at 7pm. So I sold so that I could get out earlier with a gain if I managed to buy back for less.
Would have been smarter just to stay put - but whatever works for you
If you can manage to time the market consistently then you are one of the few who can make a killing

If I learn one thing, it's unless you doubled or tripled your initial investment, hold till the cows come home.
Unless you need money now, like literally have zero petrol to get home, then sell otherwise, any sell before you get to your target you'll regret later.

I made around 20% this morning from selling and buying back lower. So still 10% up for the day overall. The decision seemed sound at the time.
I'm in again now though and will take a break and just hold tonight. I suspect something crazy will happen with this BCH nonsense possibly crashing and burning. BTC might shoot for $20k.

Yeah the BCH sell orders are piling up at $4300. Last trade before they shut down was the $9500.

Story of my life since the weekend, but today I try to trade.again and now I have more btc than the weekend.

Wonder if anyone will buy at $4.3k considering BitFinex hovering around $3.7k.

Buying and selling can be touch and go. I initially made a lot of losses, but have learned to watch a lot of info before buying and selling for trading up. Made around 14% in last 2 days while BTC prices dropped so also smiling a bit. Potential for huge gains but also huge losses.
