I'm told all 68 shipments are sold out. I tried to order at BMW Sandton and BMW Clearwater and they have sold their allocated stock already - months ago. Existing M owners had first dibs, apparently

I've tried as well, they'll call me if one becomes available, but I am not on the order list. They are happy to put me on but 18 months delivery time they say.

M2 is next progression of the 1M Coupe. No limited production this time round.

It's spiritual successor of the E30 M3.

So no the new M2 is not the F80 M3.

I must have a chat to the SMG guys. Their mention of 500NM torque is slightly misleading.

"Peak torque of 465 Nm (343 lb-ft) can be increased to as much as 500 Nm (369 lb-ft) in short bursts under overboost."

Its a great machine in real life it has presence. That color is awesome.
