if our scrums do not improve - drastically,

england will be world champs AGAIN and that will be a very sorry day

:(:(:(:(:(:(

Unlike the Aussies we have a bit more to offer as a team if under pressure at scrumtime.

Just remember that this is a totaly different England team than the "36-0" one we've played earlier on. I'm still thinking (hoping) we have a fair chance of becoming the first team to win the Web Ellis twice (I think). Scrums, yeah.....

Aus won it twice. '91 and '99.

Our scrums were a disgrace. England are a completely different team than the last encounter against SA.

We are in for a match for sure. We need to keep wilkinson at bay, otherwise he's going to drop us away from the cup.

Don't diss the scrums, Argentinia has the best front row to combat our "tall" front row. They are short and stout and can easily get under our shoulders.

England's players are of similar length to ours (190cm). With Sheridan back, England will be better, but don't expect them to go from getting murdered upfront in the pool games to suddenly beating our scrum in the final.

our scrums were just fine, their no 09 was 9/10- offside, called once.

england are still england...would much rather face them than the french at
home.

sa will win next week:D:D:D

I was getting furious about that. The little twit was camping offsides. It didn't help that our scrum was moving backwards as he just used that to go further offsides.

I am sure the SA team were chearing Eng on there. The french can destroy any side on their day regardless of how well you play. I would much rather face a consistant side where you can plan properly,

Reading some of the comments here I think scrummaging although important is not our only concern.
The kicking backwards and forwards into your opponents hands isn't necessary unless one is under pressure within your own half. All the kicking in yesterdays game spoilt it a bit for me. We have a powerful team, probably the best in the world at the moment, so why kick the ball into your opponents hands. The game between England and France was a better game for me and I think the teams were well matched on the day.

I think Jake White's decision to keep Bobby and Pretorius on the bench was a good one. If they do use Pretorius at some stage then use him for a full back position. Bobby, well I reserve comment.
In actual fact Jake has done a pretty sterling job so far with his team. They are disciplined, very fit and as I stated right at the beginning of the World Cup, South Africa is going to win it.

As far as England goes. When they played South Africa and lost 36-0, Wilkinson was not in the team that day so I doubt that we will see a similar set of results next week. I think the results will be similar to what we saw yesterday with SA and Argentina.

Habanna!!!!!

Man I enjoyed his tries! ;) :D :p

I still believe he scored that other try which was not allocated to him, which sucked.

btw. my rugby knowledge is way inferior, I basically started watching the game from late last year ;)

I loved that other dude with the blonde hair, that young guy, which the commentators called inexperienced.

He walked and the camera was on him, he said: "jou f*** p*** man ;) :D :p LOL! sy f**** p*** man ;)

Not only that but he kept shoving Du Preez right out of position. Each and every scrum he'd push him hard from behind. I was waiting for the ref or TJ to pick it up but nada

Well South Africa, The Boks, should play their own game. Stop this shiite of changing the tactics to suit the other team and so play in their hands.
Re Wilkinson, one man does not make a team. We should play as we did against them the last time. I just cannot understand what is wrong with our scrum! Thats where we may loose it!

Our scrum were undermined by short people from Argentina, as someone pointed out, the UK scrum is the same height as ours so it should be a different ball game.

Err, he's not a fullback. Has Pretorius ever even played there? Ruan Pienaar or Steyn would move to fullback if need be. But Percy is our goal kicker so it's unlikely he'll come off, unless he picks up an injury.
