The Brexit Thread

The most ridiculous BS ever. Their religious tribalism is exactly the same as the ANCs tribal tribalism. Saying it isn't rational after the 1800's is exactly right. They should get over it.
Not comparing the ANC to Northern Ireland.

Showing that if BBSA understands how difficult it would be for him if someone came and told him, join the ANC, just get over your differences, this would feel similar to telling a Protestant in NI just to get over it. Since he displayed massive ignorance on the topic, I thought by bringing the subject closer to home, he might conceptualise it better.

Riiiiiiiight, new highs. Literally up 0.5% today, and still down over 25% since before the referendum. Are you stupid, or just dishonest?
What are you talking about. The last time it was this high was.....Sunday

I have, from the start been pro-Brexit.

Reason being that the UK is bound by EU regulations to not have full control of their borders, specifically EU passport holders. It was mainly the right "Conservatives" that started the Brexit issue and WON. Which sent the Leftists into a massive melt down from the very same day the result was made public. They then had an Remoaner trying to negotiate a deal which she didn't want to do in the first place.

This is a left/right issue. It's not a Boris/May issue.

This is gibberish. Corbyn has been anti-EU and pro-Brexit for his entire political career. Are you saying Corbyn is on the right?

Corbyn is as statist as they come, probably has a shrine of Marx somewhere. He loves the EU ideology through and through, the only issue he has with it is that he is not at the helm.

Pro-brexit is the furthest thing from what he is.

All you did was building a false strawman.

I'm massive ignorance on the topic because I think they must get over their insecurities?

No, because you think "getting over their insecurities" is the answer to solving massively complex political situations. Is this also your answer to ISIS, Gaza, EWC and Brexit? "Listen people, just get over it, okay!"

Did I ever said it would be easy, in fact if you go back, you would see I said it would not be easy.

Yep, Barnier chips in as well. Interesting times ahead.

The EU’s chief negotiator has dismissed Boris Johnson‘s latest Brexitplan just hours after he unveiled it to MPs.
In an email to member states seen by The Independent, Michel Barnier said the proposal unveiled by Mr Johnson on Thursday afternoon was “of course unacceptable” as it crossed red lines laid down by EU leaders.
Mr Johnson used his first statement to the House of Commons as prime minister to call on Brussels to drop the controversial Irish backstop from the Brexit withdrawal agreement as the price of further talks.
But in the email, Mr Barnier told member states that the demands contained in the “rather combative” statement by Mr Johnson were very clearly a no-go.
“PM Johnson has stated that if an agreement is to be reached it goes by way of eliminating the backstop. This is of course unacceptable and not within the mandate of the European council,” he wrote.

I presume the vilification of Johnson for not delivering a new deal will start shortly.

Must be. And all those Conservatives opposed to leaving the EU must be Marxists.
