So name a serious proposal that BJ has proposed? He is full of talk but no actual solutions. The technological solution is unworkable and everyone knows it.

Yes because one country that relies on imports from 27 countries is totally not going to feel it as bad as the 27 other countries that can get everything without that 1 countries help.

The EU are really gonna feel that impact on 6% of its trade versus the 50+% trade the UK will have impacted upon.

UK only makes 52% of its own food, the rest is imported and relies on 53% of all its imports coming from the EU.

So if more than half of its imports comes from the EU, how is that not an indication of its reliance on the EU?

No, where the bulk of the UK's imports come from is merely a result of their current free trade arrangement, not an indication of "reliance".

The millisecond that tariffs change such that importing from the EU isn't the sensible / cheap option anymore they will simply import from somewhere else. Hell look at how aggressively the US is always trying to get rid of their vast surplus of poultry, you think the UK won't find cheap chicken?

Ditto for pretty much everything else they may need, get it somewhere else, make it yourself or continue importing from the EU if it makes sense. Germany would be the first to strong-arm the EU for some special arrangement to keep selling its luxury cars to one of its best markets while sales are slowing down across the globe, mark my words.

The US has a shît load of soybeans that the Chinese are no longer buying. Unfortunately nobody will die of famine and the world isn't going to end.

Government to ask Queen to suspend Parliament

The Queen will be asked by the government to suspend Parliament just days after MPs return to work in September - and only a few weeks before the Brexit deadline.

BBC political editor Laura Kuenssberg says it will make way for Boris Johnson's new administration to hold a Queen's Speech - laying out the government's plans - on 14 October.

But it means MPs are unlikely to have time to pass any laws that could stop the prime minister taking the UK out of the EU without a deal on 31 October.

Well the pound dropped this afternoon, but I was more referring to his disgraceful move to bypass parliamentary process to force through his plan. That is the move of a dictator.

Well that's what you get in a monarchy, which the UK is and why he need to do some stuff with the queen. He won't become or isn't a dictator.

The UK is a constitutional monarchy. The queen will not step in or over rule parliament.

And no, he won't become a dictator. But I'd expect/hope him to fall over this dick move.
