The Brexit Thread

Remind which party has a clear and decisive lead in the polls again? Here I'll even help you...

JRM was roundly condemned by people who already hate Mogg so is not a serious criticism. Lots of Brexiteers loved his defence!

As I said earlier, huge number of Conservatives support Boris' move to deselect the Brexit wreckers, it shows that he is serious and strong. It is correct to punish people who are opposing your government's flagship policy. Certainly, his deselection will gain more followers from the nascent Brexit Party. Quite the opposite to Theresa May, he is not dithering and making bold moves!

It's hilarious from the leftie media how much crying there is over Churchill's son being deselected. An MP of no great distinction living off his grandfather's legacy...thought the left opposed that kind of thing...

Nice. You should join the ANC. They are also full of apologists and toadies licking the boots of the leaders who can do no wrong.

We could believe the result a certain large poll in 2016 that consisted of 33 million or so participants.
That one doesn't count as people were incapable of understanding what they were doing and have since changed their minds suddenly ;)

Oh yeah and i suppose we should also believe sentiment couldn't possibly have changed since then. Anyway, im not trying to cast doubt on the results just poking fun at peoples constantly shifting views on polls.

Personally i think polls, if done correctly (big if) have their place and can be useful.

So delay any meaningful action until you can claim sentiment has changed, then call for another referendum. Repeat until you get the results you want.

I think that too tbh.
I think for picking results of elections etc they are useless.

For picking up things like voter sentiment on issues, they are really good.

Nah, i accept the result. The English have to live with the outcomes of their decisions.

It amazes me that Brexiteers think that anti democratic actions like suspending parliament and preventing the Lords from debating a bill are good things to do to get what you want.

You mean anti democratic action like not honouring a referendum?

The referendum did not specify no deal. In fact, Leave campaigners explicitly rejected leaving without a deal.

Therefore, no deal Brexit would not be honouring the referendum either.

The proper way to honour the referendum would be to vote for May's deal, which nobody wanted to do.
