So with all the COVID-19 nonsense taking over the airwaves, no-one really noticed that the Immigration Bill received Royal Ascent this week. After 31 December, free movement officially ends.

FML. The world is in the dumps at the moment.

Something else that slipped under the radar: the salary requirements have dropped from £35k to £20k. We're keeping our nurses, lads!

You can see the government didn't really care about "blue passports" like the idiotic Brexiters like Farage did.

In Farage's world

Meanwhile in the real world, this just dropped into the letter box.

It's black...

Indeed, even shining a light on it shows no blue tinge whatsoever.

Maybe it's that crazy French sense of humour? Didn't the Tories give the contract to a French firm for them?
With Brexit, UK now needs to licence the colour bleu

Was blue ever a government mandate, or was it just Farage's pipedream? For the record, I prefer the black version.

So all that "it's just Project Fear" from the Brexidiots is looking silly now.

7000 direct jobs and possibly 30,000 in the supply chain.

Looks like it's more like Project Reality now...
All dependant on whether or not we get a trade deal, according to the Nissan COO.

Though, I think the German car industry is in for a much bigger shock if we don't get a deal. Looking out my window, I'd say 75% of the cars I see are German.

In other news, we've also signed an agreement with Canada.

Almost, but not quite. They have agreed a deal to negotiate a bilateral trade agreement in 2021, if the Canadian Parliament approves the proposal.

Britain and Canada on Saturday resolved to negotiate a new bilateral trade deal in 2021, rolling over the terms of the EU’s CETA trade agreement with Canada.

The deal must now make its way through both houses of Canadian parliament before Christmas recess on December 11.

Yeah, not as concrete as the one with Japan (yet), but still looking good, as do the deals with the other CANZUK nations.

Queues of trucks stretching for five miles unexpectedly built up in Kent on Tuesday after the French started a trial of post-Brexit checks.

Lorries on their way across the English channel were forced to stop in long lines up to junction 11 on the M20 as they tried to approach the Eurotunnel entrance just outside Folkestone and the Port of Dover.

The queues give a glimpse of things to come in January whether a deal is reached or not with the government last month warning of queues of 7,000 lorries on the main motorway routes to both Eurotunnel and Dover ferries in the worst-case scenario.
