There's thousands of the latter arriving on Kent's beaches every month. Not sure if they're expecting them to work or not, though.I wonder if there will be a relaxation rules specific to EU or will Bojo let some brown men come in as well ?
Agreed. I'm involved in talent acquisition for a major consulting firm.Yes there is.

Clearly Brexit has failed - pre-brexit legal workers from the EU have all been forced to leave, causing all sorts of economic problems and still, non-EU brown people arriving in their thousands every month!Yes, and Nigel says Brexit voters will be furious about these non-EU brown people arriving.
Remind me again about how Brexit was never a process made to be appealing to racist and xenophobic fears of non-white immigrants arriving in the country…

Agreed. I'm involved in talent acquisition for a major consulting firm.
We now have to arrange skilled visas for EU hires which slows the process down. We're also actively recruiting in South Africa and Oz (amongst others) as UK local demand way outstrips supply.
. Just like the devs in the U.K.
No-one forced them to leave. They had a chance to apply for permanent residency. Every EU national I know can now still come and go as they please.Clearly Brexit has failed - pre-brexit legal workers from the EU have all been forced to leave, causing all sorts of economic problems and still, non-EU brown people arriving in their thousands every month!

We side-stepped all that nonsense and opened an office in India. Now all our Wintel, Network and Dev teams are there, at a fraction of the cost of UK or EU employees. Biggest thing effecting the bottom line is always going to be wages, which will always be why employers were against Brexit: the loss of cheap(er) labour.Contractors outside of IR35 I assume?
Problem with running actual employees from another country remotely is the "deemed foreign entity" issue from a tax perspective.
If any govt put anything on the side of a bus it would be guaranteed to be a lie![]()

It’s an German consultancy with offices in most EU countries. We work mostly with devs from their Warsaw office. We have a few teams. Each team is made up of the UK tech lead, 2 are local and then 3 from Warsaw. I’m one of the localsContractors outside of IR35 I assume?

My tank lasts until tomorrow.I put petrol in yesterday without any problem. I only saw one petrol station closed due to no fuel and at least four others where people were refuelling as normal with no queues.
It’s only a pity the van wasn’t a fully loaded 18 wheeler artic...
Half tank left. Bit surreal: Monday and Tuesday roads were packed, but yesterday it was like peak lockdown again with almost no-one driving. My tank lasts until tomorrow.
Currently all stations around me are empty. Will be heading home now, hopefully some have resupplied and the idiots have calmed the duck down.
Next would be. Have you ever seen a HGV? If yes, please consider driving it.
