The wording I can find is that article 50 will be triggered "by 29 March", so no later than the 29th, but the 28th would still satisfy the same statement.

Though everything's been dragging on so slowly I'm sure it will be on the 29th, late in the day even.

Because it went from a media statement to an official request by the the Parliament.

And May answered beginning of 2020.

You know all the successful post-1945 development stories were self-governing nations? China, South Korea & Taiwan...

Oh yes, and most importantly: a nation without control of its borders is not a nation at all. It's just like a train station: where people come & go.

The Prime Minister should exploit the current turmoil in the EU to get the best deal for Britain in the upcoming Brexit negotiations, Telegraph columnist Allister Heath argues.

In a new video 'Article 50: Theresa May's Winning Hand', Heath shows just how powerful her negotiating position could actually be.

He contends that the rise of populism on the continent, the strength of Britain's economy and Europe's fear of terrorism all make a good deal for the UK more likely.

And he urges Mrs May as she triggers Article 50 to recognise that she could have the upper hand and go 'all in' when the chance to strike arises.

"The EU is on the verge of the abyss," he says. "We need to leave quickly. But it is clear that Theresa May has a winning hand."

150th time I repeat it, the EU allows control of the border, it is an option. France has border control right now, Germany as well, Austria as well.

So the German economy is not a success story ? France ? Spain ? Poland ?

His argument regarding the City is stupid, banks have their European headquarter in London, this will change (as confirmed by the banks), therefore the activity will remain into the EU.

If the EU is on the brink of the abyss, then countries like SA must be so far into the abyss, they cant see out, and therefore have lost all comprehension of what it must be like to not live "in the abyss". Which does explain the hysteria by some here on mybb :)
