the social grants were dictated by the EU, the UK had f-all say in that matter

You might want to go and do your homework, social grants have nothing to do with the current laws relating to immigration or entry of EU citizens.

You could start with the Citizens’ Rights Directive 2004/38/EC.

Why would I do homework to research a claim I never made?

I said the EU forced the UK to grant non-UK citizen EU workers resident in the UK the same social benefits as their own citizens, that is a verifiable fact. Never said EU immigration laws had anything to do with it, EU membership sure as hell did.

You said exactly that, and you’ve misrepresented the UK benefits system, the UK did not force any “social grants” (grants are a completely different thing to benefits) on the UK, there is a simple non-discrimination clause to EU laws, EU countries cannot discriminate against EU citizens resident in a country, which is a reasonable standpoint. It works both ways, a Spanish citizen in the UK must be treated like a UK citizen and vice versa in Spain.

So if that gets voted down, as it likely will. What then? Parliament has rejected her deal, and then rejected no deal.

No deal is what happens in the absence of an agreement, and in the absence of an extension...

So I expect May to go begging for an extension of Article 50.

Parliament votes on Thursday for an extension to re-evaluate the situation.

There’s more chance of you having sex and falling pregnant.

Boris is disliked from most sides of political supporters these days.

You are so clueless it's hilarious. He's disliked by the middle class socialist twats of North London and university towns but that's about it. He has enough votes to get to final 2 due to all the Brexiteer MPs voting for him and he'd easily win the vote of Conservative supporters who have no time for Tory lefties.

Remind me again...he won two mayoral contests in leftie London.

He won as Mayor when he was still popular, his conduct since 2016 has seen both sides of the spectrum go against him, even the blue rinse WI members see him as a backstabber who never tells the truth.

He screwed himself up radically from the slightly eccentric top notch Brit image he had to now being seen as a conniving liar who will stab his friends in the back, do yourself a favour, go and see how both sides of the press portray him now.

What is hilarious is the Australian living in South Africa who’s spent minimal time in the UK telling someone who actually lives in the UK and follows politics from both sides of the spectrum that you know more and I’m clueless...

You’re a right richardhead.

UK very optimistic here.. delaying brexit only happens if EU agrees to do so and again, why do they have to? And if they do it’s just over a month reprieve.

I’d say accept that a bad decision was made and deal with consequence. Certainty on path ahead is more important at this point.

Finally we're getting somewhere. Hopefully they reject the extension and extra referendum nonsense and just do a hard exit.

I said freedom of movement, YOU are the dumbass harping on about trade fyi, you can have freedom of movement of people and not goods
You could even have free movement of goods. British customs can check as much or as little as they please without a deal.
The world doesn't have to end.
But instead of negotiating with the EU in bad faith. The British parliament(or whatever) could have negotiated reasonable border control with themselves and potential new trade partners.

The real fsckup is going to be on the EU side. It's going to be awesome.

So I stead of thumb sucking out of thin air, I actually have data to back me up.

He's top of the ConservativeHome monthly polls (monthly poll of Conservative activists) by a huge margin: https://www.conservativehome.com/th...hy-johnson-stays-top-with-minimal-effort.html

Well ok you might say, he will win if gets onto the final ballot, but what do other influencers (donors etc) think? Well, the same answer:

And what does a veteran political punter think?

Whatever there’s little doubt that he has been on maneuvers of late and it’s been remarkable how he has created a very different image for himself. His hair has been cut and he looks less like the fool of yesteryear. My view is that he’s just kept up with his age. Once he turned 50 his persona as the joker became harder to sustain. This was something that you expect of a younger man and that did quite ring true as he got older.

He’s been advised by Lynton Crosby who was the campaign mastermind behind his London mayoral victories in 2018 and 2012.

It’s always been said that Johnson’s biggest challenge in the leadership election will be getting to the final 2 report on the membership ballot which is decided by an MPs ballot. This is looking less of a hurdle and all the polling suggests that if it does get on the members ballot then he would be the victor.

Nope. As Rees-Mogg says, the current parliament is highly unrepresentative with regards to the referendum result, hence the current impasse. There are too many small-minded, mediocre bullies who would rather defy democracy itself than risk any adjustment to their own sense of entitlement.
