You think its good that the Union would end up being only England and Wales? No Scotland or Ireland? You really think thats a good thing?
As much as I love Scotland and its culture, they have elected a pack of commies who don't care about spending.
The latest Government Expenditure and Revenue Scotland (Gers) data for Scotland shows that for 2017-18 overall state spending hit £73.4bn compared to tax income of just under £60bn, including oil revenues. That left a deficit for the year of £13.4bn, compared with £13.5bn the year before. Scotland’s deficit was equivalent to 7.9% of GDP, while for the UK as a whole it was 1.9%.

As for Ireland, it has caused nothing but trouble for the UK.

These unions were formed in the days before free trade was discovered, which supplants the reasons why these unions were created in the first place. Both nations would be much happier if they were on their own IMO. They can both go scurrying to the EU for gibs then.

Cool, let them go. But kinda odd how Scotland takes so much from the UK, but the UK fight tooth and nail to keep them in the union.

Not really. The UK created a financial empire after the US forced them to give up their colonies officially.

If Scotland leaves the UK, then the question is, what will the Scottish currency be, and what portion of the national debt will Scotland inherit? Those two issues are joined at the hip, and from the UK's perspective, trying to solve that dispute without upsetting the apple cart would be an absolute nightmare.

If Scotland leaves the UK

They Will have no choice but to feast on EU dingus, and contribute their own fare share of money every year to the EU. Glasgow /
Edinburgh will also have to take in their allocated share of asylum seekers entering EU.

Or become like Greece, and have the EU bail em out.

I wondered when Captain Mainwaring would show up.

I’m 100% behind what Boris Johnson is trying to do

A lot of fake moaning and no realistic alternative solution has been offered. Do they want to postpone Brexit yet again? How can business make any plans operating like this?

My cousin runs a hospital bed manufacturing business, employing 55 people. Some of her component suppliers are in France and Belgium. Cooperation, not alienation is what is urgently needed

The more chaos the better.

Gotcha. A kind of flip your coin in the air and see what side it lands on. Seems like a great way to run a country.

An unelected leader running to an unelected monarch to suspend the body of elected representatives to push through an agenda with no electoral mandate (hard Brexit specifically). Fun times.
I have to turn on the debugger for this one:

How is Boris Johnson unelected? Seeing as no PM in the UK's history has been directly elected by the public. They have all been elected by MPs.

Also, the Queen can only prorogue parliament at the PM's request, which is something that MPs probably voted into law. The Queen in effect only has a veto, and she doesn't really use it.

As for an agenda, the legislation to leave the EU by the 31st was been written by Parliament.

And not forget, the referendum said,l the following:
Should the United Kingdom remain a member of the European Union or leave the European Union

What part of a hard brexit is not implied there?

It does not say:
Should the UK remain a member of the EU or should we debate about it for 3 years on whether we should have a second referendum or not.

How is it relavent to Brexit, which didn't happen yet?

It's amazing how you keep arguing for Brexit when you seem to know so little about it.
