He was just asking what arrangements Boris was after. Nobody seems to know, including the EU.
Honestly, I'm almost at the point of hoping for a no deal Brexit, the UK government is absolutely pathetic and I think perhaps the UK should just get what they want and what they deserve after all.
I hate to say this, but in some sense I agree - as a staunch remainer myself.
The problem is that the UK is now stuck in political limbo. Nobody can seem to agree on the way forward. On the one hand, BoJo is pushing for no deal pretty transparently, and on the other, the Lib Dems want to revoke Article 50.
There is no path forward that is going to make everyone happy. I almost think we need to crash out of the EU so that people can see just how damaging it is. All of these Leave voters will then finally realise they have been lied to by powerful people. We'll enter a recession while we try to renegotiate deals, and perhaps the fallout will be so bad that people will want to rejoin. I don't know.
The fallout from no deal would probably also claim what is left of BoJo's career, and the Tory party. If no deal results in what the predictions say - food and medicine shortages and a general recession - then the Tories are finished.
Then, we enter the next phase of negotiations, which could include the option to get a Norway style deal, or a single market type thing. Which would get us back in the EU in most of the ways that matter, to the disgust of leavers. Although, by then, if things go as badly as claimed then there should be few die hard leavers left.
