AIUI, the exit would be with no deal in place.
This ^^

Just to add, ALL 27 Members need to approve the extension. Meaning just one saying no will Veto the extension.

Thank you.

So if this does happen, the fact that UK parliament put a law in place to make Brexit without a deal illegal means nothing then. They will basically be forced to leave the EU on 31 Oct. deal-less.

The law was more to direct the PM to do something (to stop him engineering a willing no deal), not to make a no deal per se illegal.

I will laugh so hard if the extension is turned down and they themselves are to blame for a Hard Brexit

Word from the Germans is an extension should be granted.

The chair of the Bundestag’s foreign affairs committee, Norbert Röttgen, a senior member of Angela Merkel’s Christian Democratic Union (CDU) party, tweeted: “Johnson sent the letter, asking EU leaders for another Brexit extension. The European council should now grant a final long one, giving the UK time to sort itself out & to prepare for all possible resolutions including a second referendum. Meanwhile [the] EU could deal with other pressing issues.”

well duh, when has a Frenchman ever shown a German anything other than a white flag in the history of mankind?!?
A few other times they have. Napoleon's famous victory in 1806 over the Prussia s being the most notable for me.

Also several of the WW1 battles between France and Germany were French victories, such as the First and Second Battles of the Marne, Battle of Amiens, Battle of Belleau Wood, Ypres and several others.

and yet what most people will recall for the rest of time is the Maginot Line and WW2

War of the first and fourth coalition as well as first world war.

Then most people are historically illiterate.

Just saw this on Twitter. They seem quite confident we're leaving on the 31st?

Edit: some sort of random timeline thing. Was tweeted on the 11th, and gov.uk notice is from August.

Those adverts have been going for about 2 months, £100 million wasted as things are looking.

This debacle gets worse:

Firms in Northern Ireland will have to submit declaration forms for goods heading to the rest of the UK, under the government's Brexit deal.

Brexit Secretary Steve Barclay confirmed the details on Monday when giving evidence to the Lords Exiting the EU committee.

This followed previous assurances that NI-GB trade would be "unfettered".

DUP MP Sammy Wilson said it represented a "clear breach" of previous commitments made by the government.

The Tories are in the process of achieving what the IRA failed to do : Remove NI from the UK. And that idiot Reese-Mugg actually agrees to this.
