Err...the very big difference is that BoJo at least tried to stick to his promise - e.g. holding a sitting on a Saturday etc. Brexiteers are responding positively to that. One never got the sense that TMay was trying at all.
His promises?

Like the promise he would never allow a border in the Irish Sea? That one?

You are aware of how the UK voting system works hey? Considering you're so knowledgeable on politics....

I don't think he does, he sees percentages and thinks that's the percentage of seats a party will get, he seems to forget it's FPTP, in the past UKIP has polled around 4% and gained 0 seats whilst the SNP also with around 4% gained 54 in 2015 and 35 in 2019 iirc.

Twitter only allows 280 characters so it makes it difficult for Chris to get a proper opinion for himself.

BoJo is consistent at losing, if nothing else...

Boris Johnson fails with third attempt for pre-Christmas election

Boris Johnson has seen MPs oppose his call for an early general election for a third time - which is expected to lead to him making an immediate fourth attempt tomorrow.

The prime minister saw MPs vote by 299 to 70 on Monday night in favour of his demand for the UK to go to the polls on 12 December.

But this was below the threshold of 434 votes he needed, under law, to trigger an early election.

Labour again opposed Mr Johnson's call for an election, with party leader Jeremy Corbyn having ordered his MPs to abstain on the vote.

Yet, despite the prime minister's third defeat, a pre-Christmas election is still a real prospect.

Earlier, Downing Street said it would adopt a joint SNP and Liberal Democrat proposal if Mr Johnson's own motion proved unsuccessful on Monday.

UK relative runs a factory manufacturing hospital beds and employs 55 people. They cannot make forward planning for longer than 6 months due to uncertainty. Their largest customers are all Eastern European EU countries

They are desperate for this farce to come to an end

Yes I'm highly aware of the UK voting system works. I've known for a decade or more in fact. Double digit leads give a majority based on a uniform swing. I'm aware that the SNP will probably take out almost all Scottish Tories and some London Tories will have to be collateral damage but will be more than made up in more Brexity areas. Just research the Bishop Auckland seat - never gone Tory, old mining town... definitely going Tory in the next election.

He will win tomorrow's vote though as Lib Dems and SNP are supporting a bill which only requires a simple majority. Good that's on 12 December...I believe most university students are back at home so hopefully less fraudulent/double voting .

ISTR that the LibDem SNP plan is for the 9th, before the students leave.

By the way I was rather enjoying Camden Town today and then I remember who represented it. Life is very comfortable for residents who live there...even have the lovely Regents Park right on their doorstep. But it's the elite of the elite who live there, so...no wonder they voted Remain ;)
