The Cannabis Thread #2

Where can I buy some flower in small quantities?

I'm only back in SA for a short while and I'm using a Dynavap, which uses very little at a time.
So just looking for 2 or 3g.
Might help to mention where in SA.

Checked out elixir extract site, lots of variety and prices arent bad, will order next week and give feedback. Few people recommending on here so crossing fingers i have no issues

When it comes to buying seeds.....how do we know we are actually getting what we paid for ? any recommendations on stores that sells seeds that are actually legit..?

like i dont want to order Cheese seeds but get sent some local jut seed instead

So my experience with Elixir Extract:
Her service, delivery and communication are exemplary. It arrived very quickly to my door :)
The weed looks really good too, and I bought seeds. Packaging is super, completely odour free.

Experience: 1 hit of Slurricane(6)
I am a daily smoker with a lot of tolerance. I took a 1 day break before this smoke, which is very rare for me. I packed my bong with 1 hit of slurricane, less than 0.1g, and smoked it. Yeah it's definitely very good weed and I'm very stoned. Her other weed I bought also looks great. I will report back on that.

So service 10/10
quality 9/10
value 9/10

Would recommend.

edit: and her seeds and clones are well-priced too.
While I would recommend them, just be careful of that slurricane. It has given me massive hangover in the past

Check out:

I've used both stores without any issues, just choose an established breeder. Some of my favorite genetics: Dinafem, Dutch Passion, Greenhouse seed co, Ethos, G13 Labs...

any problems on germination? the reviews on google are good and bad on the green smoke room...
many claim that the few that do germinate are very weak and sick so im a little worried about that if 1 seed costs R200

What method of germination do you use? i put a seed in a glass of water by a window and it will float in the water...after a day to 2 days the seed will sink because its taken in water and thats when i move it into a pot. havnt had any issues so far that way

That's a bit too long in water imho. The seeds need air too.

I generally soak them in water and push them down until they sink to the bottom (might take a few attempts). I keep them overnight in water and after that I germinate them in damp cotton wool. I keep them in a dark place to encourage germination.

When I see the main root start to make its way out of the seed, I plant them in a Jiffy pod. Even if it's just a little bit of the root making its way out, straight into soil it goes.

The moment they break soil, put them in the sun. I find doing it this way prevents legginess (super long stalks). They love direct sunlight early on. Just make sure they're always watered (not overly so). Being in the sun will dry out your soil quickly, so they generally need watering (flood the Jiffy) twice a day at this point.

Remember that they need both water AND air throughout their life. This is why grow bags are better than pots. They absolutely love sunlight like most plants do.

I bought my seeds at https://marijuanasa.co.za/. Of the 10 I attempted to germinate, only 2 failed. That might be due to me and my beginner inexperience early on.

+1 for Elixir Extract as well.

Communication over WhatsApp is good. Delivery was next day and packaging was top notch. Just make sure to order early if you want next day delivery. I paid via Capitec "Send cash" no issues.

Not going to rate the products because I'm a noob in that regard, but hopefully it helps with my arthritis.

Thanks bud.

That's actually way too long to soak them. I do 12 hrs max. I buy from GSR all the time. Buy 1 seed, get 2, plus a freebie with every order. And I've never had any major issues. One thing I've noticed from various Facebook groups is, people will spend money on seeds & use the cheapest soil they can find, usually causing issues with seedlings that either don't grow or die off.

This year I made it easier & got a temperature controller, propagation tray & I had an old heat mat that I just never got around to using till now.

No issues with germination, I don't think I've had a single seed I've purchased online fail to germinate. I don't even soak my seeds!

A couple of things I do though, I thoroughly wet my grow medium a couple of days prior to planting my seeds with oxygenated rainwater. Then if using pots I just plant the seed directly into the soil and spray with pH 6 water once or twice a day depending on how hot things are. I like to use bottled water, preferably Aquelle which comes in at 5.9 or sometimes lower, mixed with a little rainwater to bring it up to pH 6.

You want to avoid using tapwater/chlorinated water during the seedling stage, some plants will handle it, but others might grow slow, look sickly, and turn yellow. Using a pH of around 6 ensures that the seedling can absorb nitrogen and other trace elements required for vegetive growth. You can also remove chlorine easily with a fish tank air pump and a couple of airstones. I have a 100L dustbin on my balcony I top-up regularly with tap and rainwater which gets aerated 24/7.

AdAstra Africa

264 Victoria Road, Woodstock, Cape Town, South Africa

Hey guys, new to this thread. Looking for recommendations for buying weed online. So far I've been referred by a friend to AdAstra which seems very good. Any other reliable websites out there besides 420 monkeys?
Has anyone used AdAstra?

With the image of the weed growing in all those pot plants how do you make them bud so low, not needing to grow tall before they bud?

And once you've bought a good seed, can you use seed from the crop to plant your next harvest, ie you pay R200 for a seed which is expensive but that will allow you to grow that strain in perpetuity if you choose?

i may be wrong but as far as i know if you are growing feminized
seeds indoors under the right condition you'll get no seeds at all....

seeds are usually made by pollinating a female with a male
or
taking a feminized seed and spraying a branch with colloidal silver turning that branch into a male and so pollinating the the plants its self producing more feminized seeds

The plant wont just have seeds, theres needs to be a male with pollen, and then you have lots of seeds in your bud.

You can grow it but it will be unstable genetics and will also be regular seeds.

To make the plants stay so low you apply low stress training whereby you bend the plant and tie it down.

If you have a plant you can take cuttings from it and make clones which would be exact replicas of the plant.

Theres also many groups of growers that make clones and give them away freely
