As always the costs of eating lunch seems to go up and up, as for taking sandwiches to work meh I had enough of those. In my quest to find the cheapest lunch deals I found you can still get decent value for money and eat something for under R20 bucks heres my current top five in cape town:

1. Romans Pizza lunch time special, can of pepsi and a small pizza with 2 toppings - R19.90

2. Burger Fair in brackenfell - cheap and nice, burger and chips for like R15

3. Fruit and Veg Food lovers market/Freshstop (many of them opening up)- lots of nice healthy stuff and really cheap. For R20 bucks you can walk out with a nice filling panini and pancakes, or even a boerewors roll and a nice bowl of salad etc etc. Freshtops are bit more expensive but still good value.

4. Steers good guy burger - Rave burger and chips R20 fills you up.

5. Picknpay deli - nice fresh chicken and chips for under R15

Please share yours so we call all find good deals

nice one ive seen in JHB,

fish (batter fried) and chips R10 just ask for R10 at the counter

comes to around 25 odd rand,

at many pick and pay,

2 slices of low GI seeded bread, with a banana or avocado filling - fills u up lekker.
A high protein bar, handful of raw almonds and a cup of coffee - nice

6 sandwiches a day + an apple as a snack works well for me.

And coffee seems to supress any early hunger cravings

R5 container of dhal, R15 medium breyani.
