The chilli plant giveaway

Wow, that really seems to have done the trick. I guess the coconut oil neutralizes the chilli oil. I'll remember that in future, thanks!

The capsaicin in chillies bind to fat but is resistant to water and soap.
That is why drinking milk or eating yogurt helps but not water when your mouth is on fire.

So any fat really will help for your hands and johnson.

Will be replanting them into individual pots when they are a bit bigger.

Yai! My chilli seedlings are finally starting to show signs of life. A pity I planted them so late into summer, so I probably won't get fruit until the end of the year.

Very nice. I waited a bit late with planting mine this year. Hopefully there's enough time to get fruit. You get your seeds locally from one of the heirloom seed sites?

Local seed suppliers are not reliable, i got my reaper seeds from the creator of the strain. That plant in that picture is 2 1/2 years old.

Overwinter them and you will have early fruits later this year. I usually just leave my plants outside during winter and thy survive. I've lost maybe one or two.
