Premier of KwaZulu-Natal Sihle Zikalala says that the province is now 'in the eye of the storm' as it faces a surge in coronavirus cases.

From my observation post, in KZN, I see people in Dirtbin and Crimetown stroll about on the streets acting oblivious, or irresponsible, towards C19.

Won't surprise me when KZN overtakes and leads all C19 related figures.

Like everywhere though they will say pinetown is a hot spot, but it's the townships in that area, not necessarily the suburbs.

I meant the business areas of those two towns. But yeah, I think the townships will become epicenters. The disregard illustrated in the business district suggests that back home the irresponsible behaviour will be similar, if not worse.

Surge of cases expected. This is a highly infectious virus. What I want to know is if there is a surge in virus caused mortality.

Only if the Eastern cape under reports, I think their rural areas will be the worst hit in the country. Remember a lot of people in kzn and other areas visit the previous designated areas ( transkei/ ciskie).
