The Craft Beer Thread

I think the most interesting beers from Boston is the whale tale ale and the loaded canon. I also tasted quite a nice IPA of theirs on tap, the name of which escapes me now.

CBC Imperial IPA. This is the new recipe I had a sneak peak of a little while back. Fantastic on tap. You can get it at spice route biltong and barley. Also bought some bottles. I hope it transfers as well to the bottle.

For that price I can get a half decent bottle of wine :D
That apricot hoopriocot or whatever it's called that someone keeps posting here is a similar price, actually think it was R50+ for a bottle. That Sugarman looks delicious tho, tempted to try it...

(Yup...a bottle of wine for a day or two or one beer. Sometimes dem prices....)

Had a meeting at the new Jack Black brewery this morning. Very nice setup they have there.

Pertaining to the discussion about Darling a few weeks back. I also haven't been a fan of theirs over the years, as they were rather middle-of-the-road, but I tried all their new beers at the brewery yesterday (and got to hang out with their new German head brewer, Felix) and walked away very impressed. Almost all their recipes have been redesigned and are much better. Their Warlord Imperial IPA was legit as well as some of the upcoming beers like those pictured below.
