Trying out Zebonkey at Dirtopia

Going to try their Poseidon next, made with 15% sea water.

Is the brown sediment at the bottom of the glass after drinking Blonde Ale normal? Or was my beer stale?

Pretty normal. A lot of craft beer is bottle conditioned and unfiltered. That is likely just yeast from bottle conditioning.

Both these had a lot of sediment. The ones I had over at Zebonkey was marked to "expire" 03/17 and they too had a bit of sediment. Even fresh batched of home brew beer seems to have that so just pour carefully

About Zebonkey, their Weibier is rather nice and the African Ale is something different, however I still prefer Double Owl from Wild clover. The Poseidon is hard to explain, I liked it at first but towards the end of the glass I wanted to chuck it. My wife then took it and she said it tasted better than the first few sips. So it's very much a case of YRMV. Definitely worth a shot though, especially if you are going to try some of the other activities they have over at Dirtopia. Maybe do a beer tasting before you do their next full moon hike?

Why is Pick & Pay Liquor so much more expensive than Checkers Liquor for CBC.

The CBC Amber Weiss 4 pack is R122 at Pick & Pay (new price) and R80 at Checkers!

Makes no sense.
