The Craft Beer Thread

We went to the Wild Clover restaurant on Saturday as it has a nice play area for the kids. To our shock they did not have their own beer there. Said something with not right with the gas or a keg or something. They also did not sell it per bottle so I had to walk back to the brewery and buy some bottles and bring it back to the restaurant. Never had this issue before. I hope they fix it soon.
I was there last weekend and they gave the excuse that they are waiting for the gas. We also had to walk to the brewery.

Off topic: spent a while now trying to find Boddingtons in South Africa. Does anyone know of a secret stash or supplier that the internet does not know about?

Try Liquor City Claremont: 021 674 1478
(Or just buy some decent local beers not that imported swill *tongueface*)

I already buy a crap load of decent local beers, thank you very much. That doesn't mean I am not allowed to drink my Guinness, Kilkenny and Boddingtons...

Currently chilling...
Haven't had the Spilhaus or Clock Punch yet.

Last weekend we were at Makro in Pretoria, and tasted some crafts. CBC and some other breweries - I was underwhelmed and, quite frankly, disappointed in most of the beers. I didn't take names, but the only one I liked was an IPA from Striped Horse. The rest were either "thin" or contaminated, with a bunch of them suffering from the baby vomit cliche. Highly disappointed.
