. Haven't tried those but that stout looks damn dark & tasty. Just cracked open one of these:
I find that occasionally they've got a slightly odd taste to them, but otherwise they're a nice everyday kinda beer that's not too overwhelming with flavor.

Quiet thread it quiet. Especially for a Saturday night.
Stomach is kinda empty & this is hitting me hard & quick right now. Very nice dark rich beer for this slightly chilly evening.
I'm tempted to try the Tokyo...16%alc but check dem prices:

Loving CBC's Weiss range (amber/krystal).
If you're visiting the Cape Winelands, go stop off at Spice Route and pop in at the brewery. There's also a restaurant that does food pairings and also has Jack Black on tap. Rather awesome Sunday outing. There's also a new brewery that opened at Anura Wine Estate (also around Klapmuts area) and Wild Clover Brewery on Stellenbosch outskirts.
BTW. Anybody tried CBC's Octoberfest beer - 3 thumbs up - or their mampoer(?)

In any event, it's absolutely delicious.
^^^ Very sweet and rich? Some of the chocolate/coffee stouts I've tried have been delicious but so rich and syrupy that I couldn't really drink more than half a bottle. More like a desert beer to share. It was the Brewdog Cocoa Psycho I tried.

When the liquid hits your tongue it almost feels as if it's gonna be too overwhwheling but it settles like a lazy day into your mouth and fills it with deep rich flavours. The dark liquid makes love to your mouth. Hmmm. Delicious.
