Poured two beers down the sink today, smelled wrong.

Got it from a large wine shop in Hermanus but they're stored on the shelf rather than in a fridge. Guess they need a bit of education. They're treating it like it's wine.

Was at Beerhouse in Fourways yesterday, standout beers had to be both the guest taps I tried:

Harviestoun Schiehallion: was advertised as a pilsner and although it had the crispness of a pilsner there's a definite grapefruity taste to it. Probably wrong to say it was a pilsner and may have coloured my expectation
Brewdog Libertine Black Ale: OM ****ing G, this beer on tap is a masterpiece, the bottle is good no doubt but on tap it is utterly fantastic. One sip gives you about 3min of varying tastes, truly amazing.

I'm beginning to think IPA goes well with most dishes. Had some Friday IPA last night with spaghetti bolognese, excellent combo.

I should try that out some time. Just feels too close to work for me. When it comes to Wild Clover it is closer to just go to the farm it's 7km from home. Nice play area to tire out the little one and on weekends my bike mechanic is there flying his model airplane.

Stellenbräu will be on tap at the Woodmill market next Friday. Having worked next to Stellenbräu for a year in 2013 I find my self having withdrawal symptoms.
