Epic beer! Tasted it for the first time at the 2013 cape Town festival of beer.

The drink of choice for moderators :p

I find largers a bit boring these days, but this one was quite pleasant. Little bit on the fizzy side but good.

This is how I roll

Ahhh.

You guys in the Western Cape have all the nicest locations to go to.

Had my first taste of craft beer on Tuesday, Aces Lager. A bit light for my taste, but wasn't bad. Also tried some Boston's Black River Coffee Stout (if I remember correctly! :D ). But didn't really like it, don't like the "coffee" flavoured wines either.

Definitely plan on going back to try some more! :D :D

Aces larger is not bad - but there are better local craft largers.

As for Black River Coffee Stout - I've had good one and I've had bad ones.

Boston's bottling practices don't seem to be too wonderful.

Not being particularyly clued-up on local craft beers, just took one randomly.

I can't say for a fact if the stout was "bad" or not, just didn't really like it. I am not really a stout fan to begin with, craft or retail, so yeah.

What local craft beers do you recommended? Personally prefer a good lager, but willing to try anything at least once.

We were at Capital Craft in Menlo Park for St. Patrick's and our first craft beer experience, and will be going back, what do you recommend on their menu? Ofc, not restricted to Capital Craft either, but did like the venue etc.
