The Craft Beer Thread

Have you tried Brewhog's black IPL?

That's a pretty good beer.

Ale grist and hops - just fermented with lager yeast.
Had it once, and it was awful - the only beer that got turfed in a tasting session, so I'm wary of the Brewhog brand. Might have been a bad bottle.

We're getting distracted, but the hops will be the same (type), just different quantities (and hop schedules, obviously).

Regarding grain, yeah, I suppose a lager would have less crystal, but you do get plenty of dark lagers, which would need dark malts (but probably not crystal, as you mentioned).

All that said, I've heard of IPLs and would be very keen to try one.

Fair enough.

:)

Not really a craft beer, I guess:

Urbock - Namibia Breweries Limited

Nevertheless, an absolutely amazing beer!

Had an Orlando Cinnamon & Coffee stout today, was terrible, bland and watery, the restaurant didn't even charge me for it after the manager tasted it.

My parents went to the states - I asked them to bring me back some beers, they didn't disappoint:

Cool beer but what's the gear behind it with the mic? Doesn't look like any audio interface or synth I've seen before. Some other kinda audio equipment?

^Nice. I quite liked the Happy Pills.

I don't really see many people posting Copperlake or Cederbrew here. Have I just missed it or are people seriously not drinking two of the best brewers beers for a reason :D?
