The Craft Beer Thread

Dammit, 3 beers down the drain this afternoon, not a good day for KZN craft

Simply always good

final craft of the holidays done, I&G Toasted Oak IPA

Yesterday I had a Stickman IPA and Notties Tipsy Tiger IPA, the I&G is streets ahead from a drinkability perspective, I reckon I could easily sit down and quaff these all day

Beer. With a cork? Must have! It's a Triggerfish beer? Might need to go on Monday for beer tasting / getting wasted.

Yup Triggerfish. Not sure this puppy is for tasting, but you can buy one and save it for a special occasion

Oh the cork was fun getting out. Too small to get a nice grip and too big to go into the corkscrew without having to wrangle it.

Popped in at anura to try the offerings at wagon trail brewing Co.

They have a larger, weiss, IPA and a amber ale. They all tasted nice enough but nothing really stood out. All pretty easy drinking session beers with the ale being the exception with a 8% alcohol content. I really liked the smell of the IPA. Tap only so can't take any home.

Verdict: worth checking out if you're in the area, but I wouldn't make a special trip. There is wine and cheese next door for the SO

No picture but the Stellenbrau Jonkers Weiss has an uncanny banana-like flavor to it. Not real bananas - but the flavor of those banana shaped-sweets or banana milkshakes.
