Heavy is lovely. Other one wasn't on tap so no tasting.

Anyone know a beer called Black Hat? My local just got it and the barman doesn't know the brewery. Will sample shortly.

on my 3rd Mitchell's Milk & Honey, and through a Tongerlo Prior Tripel into the mix

yep, started noticing Fuller's draught becoming more available

You've got experience of this stuff iirc, would they import the kegs or brew locally. What's the sell by date for a keg?

Had a sample of Black Hat and Woodstock Brewery Mr Brownstone. Very similar, both dark, coffee taste. The Mr Brownstone also has some chocolate and toffee taste, it's sweeter and more complex than the Black Hat which is a little more bitter.

I wouldn't give draught more than 4 weeks, 6 at a stretch, so either someone is flying it in or else they've got someone to brew locally, I'd be inclined to go with the former but they can't be making much margin, maybe testing the market.

Ah, these guys look like they have a import agreement

Turns out the Black Hat is from Fullers too.

Edit: looks like it's Black Cab, not Black Hat. Silly barman.

So sitting at a restaurant Ave asked the waiter if they served craft as there are no beers on the menu. He mentions want sounds like Blue Duck, thought it was a new brew that I hadn't heard of before, this is what arrived...

As far as Weiss go - that Jack Black is pretty good.
As far as beers go - still not much of a Weiss fan.
