DA leader Helen Zille promised on Sunday to attack "ANC corruption" no matter what the international consequences.

"I will keep on telling the truth about the ANC [African National Congress] again and again, because it is in South Africa's interests to do so.

"The DA [Democratic Alliance] will stop ANC corruption and power abuse," said Zille in a statement.

She was responding to a complaint laid against her with the Human Rights Commission by Congress of South African Trade Union (Cosatu) Western Cape provincial secretary Tony Ehrenreich.

In the complaint, Ehrenreich said Zille was "recklessly endangering the South African people and their international interest".

What does "recklessly endangering the South African people and their international interest" have to do with human rights? How can you ask the opposition leader to turn a blind eye to the corruption in this country?

It is no the DA's fault that the image of South Africa is tarnished, it is the corruption that was revealed by the DA that is damning this country.

the DA is just making noise, will the corruption stop? No, simply because no one will get their hands dirty. The DA are so far just full of hot air, I want to see them actually say "hey no, F*** you ANC, I want to see changes NOW." and then spend their DA actually Naming, shaming and making the public know that the ANC is just taking you all for a ride...

The DA has good intentions, but they don't have the balls in the end to make things happen

We shouldn't be surprised that that smoothie (faced) Zille should suddenly wake up on the eve of her most important election. What will she do with the rest of the box of sleeping pills.

Zille must remain quiet till the next elections. I know some South African abroad willing to settle back in Western Cape after the elections, hoping for a better life here and escape ****ty countries like UK. Will Zille be able to fight against crime and discriminations in this province, giving the fact that ANC will certainly lead the country again ?

You seem to miss the point. The fact that the DA has begun a campaign of doing exactly what you ask is the reason COSATU are running scared.

But even if they do, they don't have the power to make the changes, as they are the opposition not the ruling party.

I imagine my neighbours face, if the ANC loses big time, god I will rub it in like crazy. And then we can get onto jailing all those crooks, and rebuilding the country for the betterment of everyone in it. Hell that sounds so naive, but be positive, glass half full, smile and hug...
