Just downloaded The Daily. Yes, I know the content is very much US related but what thoughts do you guys have on it?? I think the animations and adverts are pretty well thought out. Like the crossword too though ;) Don't know if I'll actually pay for it after the 2 week trial though...

Anything Newscorp (Rupert Murdoch), you should stay away from it. WikiLeaks to blow your mind away on what they have on this guys, watch the space

Yeah, Murdoch is about as oldschool as they come, and the way he likes to do things is not a way that's healthy.

Anyway, I can't find it in the app store, btw. That's probably got to do with the fact that my account is a Canadian iTunes account...

Apparently this mag fails. All the reviews on the web about it reflect disappointment.

I downloaded this app when it came out. I quite like the layout, and really like the crosswords. However, I don't think I will pay for this service

I think I'll stick to flipboard.

Must agree - interface is reall pretty and initiative (but sluggish at times). Also won't pay for it though - content just ain't worth it...

You pretty much sum up why this will be a failure; the content is just not good enough...

Flipboard is also pretty cool but I keep going back to Reeder (regarding RSS that is)...
the way flipboard parses my rss feeds is ok but there's room for improvement.

You tried Reeder yet? I use it on my iPhone and on my iPad. If you big into RSS (and like to know what items have not been read yet) then Reeder is an awesome option ;)
Forgot to mention - Reeder has to link to a Google Reader account...
