No one in your office with iTunes?
I just got someone to plug it in so I could at least play with it.
You don't need to download the update to use it - just use it to activate the iPad.I have iTunes installed, but don't want it to download anything from the work internet, it probably won't even go through

I wonder what the bandwidth is on the apple server? I downloaded the ios5 update in about 3 minutes this morning at 6.
Yea basically all you have to do is plug it in and let it do it's thing for a few min! Without the downloading though it's useless![]()
700mb?
Just wondering, is there a iOS 5 jailbreak yet?
Yes and no, basically meaning there is a tethered & semi-tethered for iOS5 but nothing for the the iPad2/iPhone 4GS.

Quick one.
How much are the Simcards? Did you buy a micro Sim or did you just modify a normal one?
And who has the cheapest prepaid at the moment?
Thanks
Thanks man, think it is worth upgrading then?
You have not signed up for a data plan. Would you like to set up a new account?
Somebody please help me.
I purchased a 3G Microsim last night and loaded it with a data bundle. I inserted it my iPad last night but it was constantly on Wi-Fi connection, so I did not test the 3G connection on its own. It did show up as "Vodacom-SA 3G" in the top left corner so I thought all was fine.
Now when I try to connect to the internet it gives me the error :
When I do try and set it up it just says Cellular data could not be set up.
How do I get the 3G to work. I checked at Vodacom4me and the data bundle is loaded and 100%.
