yes i have done research .
yes i know there are many to chose from.
maybe my questions will help other members doing research.
Hence i was asking members opinions.

I cant comment on the audio but have a look at the kodi hardware forums, there are few posts about audio output http://forum.kodi.tv/showthread.php?tid=275083 Personally I am very happy with the Mi Box, I have been using it for the last 2 months. Touch wood the support has also been decent, three firmware updates since I got it which has ironed out a few issues.

Forgot they likely closer in cost if you using Aramex courier plus customs and handling fee. Always plan for the max. If there's no duty it's a bonus. You might also want a USB hub and a airmouse with minikeyboard for maximum functionality

yep that was my thinking WRT international transactions, i dont really need 4k streaming .....but would be a little futureproof i guess
And that android interface is sooo pretty.

so i'm still between the 2

Simple. Do you want DSTV Now ? If yes only one of these supports it..

Well I'm less than impressed at the moment. Pass-through simply does not work.

Using Kodi 17 or NTMC just results in noise coming through. Kodi 16.1 sends the correct format to the receiver but it has intermittent cut outs. Switch to the same file, on the same set-up with the MyGica 582 and everything plays flawlessly.

I'm on NT-N8, latest version 1.3 from early Jan, Kodi 17, everything including pass through works 100%.
