Parties like the FF+ are worthless, as they yearn for days long gone to never return.
The ACDP, Agang and others are also minorities, that have a little bark but no effective bite.
.

Voting for them is still better than voting ANC or not voting.

And what about the FF+ made them win your vote?

Their policies are closest to the DA's without being the DA.

Take a drive through Table View and see if you can avoid the potholes.
Lol, they have been doing road works for ages...it's almost completed and seeing the results have been well worth the headache of the inconvenience we have been subjected to. Myciti for one is awesome and the middle of blaauberg rd looks lovely with the greenery and foot/cycle paths.

My entire household (4 voters) are voting DA.

I don't think you support the ANC.

Anyway, do you not remember the fsckups with Ebrahim Rasool? The Chapman's Peak toll contract that the ANC administration signed? Not to even mention the eTolls that would have implemented without an inkling of opposition if the ANC were still in power there.

Look at the stats and see how they're running the province.

Because the Libertarian Party aren't participating in the election? :p

1. Despite a 46% population growth increase, the Western Cape has the highest access to basic services & lowest unemployment rate in SA.

2. R1.7 billion was spent on skills development programmes to provide training opportunities to 98 327 people.

3. The DA has offered 4 065 young people job opportunities in our Work & Skills Programme of which 60% were offered permanent positions subsequently.

4. Since the end of 2012 South Africas's unemployed population grew by 121 000. In the Western Cape, the unemployed population has shrunk by 48 000.

5. The Western Cape has the highest access to water (99.1%), flush toilets (90.5%) and electricity (93.4%) in the country.

6. The Western Cape has the highest proportions of households receiving FREE basic water, basic electricity & basic sewerage & sanitation.

7. 76% of the provincial budget is allocated to poor communities.

8. During the 2013/2014 financial year, we budgeted R17 million for farm worker development projects.

9. Since 2009 we have delivered 119 674 housing opportunities, creating 37 130 jobs using the services of 147 BBBEE contractors.

10. Between 2009 and 2014 we have issued 88 263 title deeds, drastically reducing the backlog inherited from the ANC administration.

11. Funding for safety promotion programmes in poor communities has almost doubled from R41 million (2010) to R80 million (2014).

12. The Western Cape has the highest number of learners qualifying for Bachelor degree studies in the country.

13. Over 80% of our education buget is spent on the poorest 60% of our learners.

14. Western Cape is the only province that has prevented government employees and their families from doing business with the state.

15. According to the SA Institute of Government Auditors, SA's top 3 government departments since 2011 have all been in the WCape.
Not bad

The DA appears to be the best of a bad bunch... I will most likely vote for them although they do not represent my views 100%.

Most likely this. I hate that they get my vote but it's better than the alternatives.

what's your tariffs?
Water R8.43 per kl
Sewerage @ 71% of water usage
Refuse @ 55% of water usage

First 6.5kl free
then 4.8kl @ R7.6
then 10kl @11.6

Now when I entered politics
To see the workers free
I left the Labour Party
And I joined the red CP
With bags of gold from Moscow boys
And tons of TNT
Oh tis my delight on a filthy night
To bomb the bourgeoisie

such as?

longer liquor hours?

Let's restrict it to the people on this forum and specifically this thread. Check out some of the people who say they're voting DA and most of them look like they ought to be vote for some on the far right.

That is who I thought you were referring to, but I would like to know the policies you speak of.
