Was wondering who had the entertainer this year and what was your experience with it? And if you have already bought it for 2018 do you know what will be available in terms of which restaurants?

awesome app. bought 2017 for 395. already saved over 2000.

Also bought the 2018 app for next year. It is worth it if you love eat out often

Didn't use it as much as I'd hoped during 2017. That said, my total savings were roughly 3x what I paid for the app. So it was definitely worthwhile.

I got the 2018 at a discounted amount - AND it recharged my 2017 vouchers:D. It's important to realize that many restaurants are still listed in the app are no longer supported so, it's best to phone ahead and make sure. Personally, all my favorite places from 2017 are still in 2018.

Have had it for a few years. More than worth the price.

Love this app. It makes you try new places too and I've found some gems in CT.

I've got it here in Aus and it's great. The best thing about it is you just tell the people and they get on with it no questions asked.

Had it since launch in SA and although definitely worth it, I always dreaded paying the bill as it was a 20 minute process to explain what the book/card/app was to the waiter, what it entitled you to, then they had to call the manager, the manager then had to either call the owner because they never knew about it or they had to um and ahhh about how to pass the discount through their till. Even had a couple of cases of having to fight with restaurant owners because their coupons appeared in the book but they said they requested removal.

I have bought the CapeTown 2018 model and got an extra add on or two iirc.
It would be great to continue this thread with tips/tricks/finds...

Bought the 2018 version for R395. Totally new to this. Did not see any offers loading on my profile. Contacted the impressively efficient Live Chat via the App & they advised that all the offers for the 2018 version automatically go live on the 2nd Jan. So we see from then onwards how it goes.

Very worth it. I think everyone who already has it gets another round of 2017 vouchers included with the 2018 purchase (I know SA does)

Had it for a few years. Totally worth it and you can save a lot of money and try out great new places. It's so much easier trying out a new place when the price is halved. Some of these new places are now my favorite.

According to the app we have saved around R7000 in 2017.

so besides food for the cape town would it still be worth it? What else is in it?

Have you guys bought 2019 yet? There's a significant discount if you use smiles....

Smiles? Elaborate

Smiles is Thier form of loyalty points. Eg: use the app in more than one city or use it more than 5 times and earn a "achievement" and smiles.

I have earned 2000 without trying just by using the app. Normally I use smiles to buy back vouchers as you only get 3 vouchers per restaurant and it costs 1000 smiles to buy back a voucher, ie: unredeem a voucher.

If you buy now and use 500 smiles, you can get all of SA(Durban, Jhb and CT) for R450 with Cheers(The buy one get one free for drinks)
