This was the incident mentioned for one of them, the pilot got it bogged down in the grass.




Oh, and even if it that was a genuine list of losses it's pretty impressive, that's fewer incidents in a decade than the F-16 had in a year. I'm sure most people here remember the F-16's old nickname.

The Washington Post has comment from Joint Base Charleston that the jet's transponder was not working at the time of the incident. They wouldn't give any information on the type of sortie the jet was on at the time of the incident. From the article:

It was heading inland, there's a pretty large lake on its line of travel, as well as a lot of wooded wilderness.
