It seems (or at least another probability) the crash was likely caused by the bad weather as F-35s can't fly near thunderstorms :unsure:

Yes, the point is there may have been something that gave the pilot cause for alarm, but after ejection, the aircraft was able to still fly.

I'm a fan of the A-10 as much as anyone else. But it's passed its sell-by date, for reasons Hollings explains quite well in this snippet on why the Warthog won't work in Ukraine.
 
Came across this production by what sounds like a Brit. At least it raises the issue of why this awesome machine gets such a bad press.

My own view is somewhat more, er, conspiratorial ... western social media have been almost since the JSF's program inception been saturated with "F-35 is a dog / waste of money / corruption-riddled / incapable/ poorely conceived and badly engineered piece of junk", largely driven by those adversaries most frightened by it.

However, for those in the know about its true capabilities now and as it continues to evolve (always part of the plan), ie the military forces of US allies and wannabe allies, this stupendously capable machine is an absolute must have. Despite the efforts of their vocal lefty anti-American politicians, their military can't get enough of them fast enough.

 
for what it counts think the F35 sets the standard but love A10. A10 cant be deployed in surgical strikes but was never intended to be.

reckon there are questions being asked right now. Yes Sir...cant confirm Sir. this is not what it appears, expressed concern regarding this exercise. over public area? you have your mandate/shut up or get out. OK following orders.

Pilot was in the know. betcha a dollar he knew this was a planned crash.. public area? expensive exercise at very least

Awesome aircraft. Could have been better if they started with three different airframes with common systems.

why doesn't that happen to the Israelis, dropping their fizzy bubelech?
and why is it al the Accidents happen in the US of A all the time, so many other nations operate the F35 and they aren't crashing every week.
 
actual facts here, F35 build was based on US contractor. their is a collaborative between allies sharing data/info points. not sure why this happened and relieved that no innocents were harmed
