Nikola Tesla, the inventor of ;

* various devices that use rotating magnetic fields (1882)
* induction motor and high frequency alternator
* means for increasing the intensity of electrical oscillations
* alternating current long-distance electrical transmission system (1888)
* Tesla coil
* bladeless turbine
* bifilar coil
* Telegeodynamics
* systems for wireless communication (prior art for the invention of radio) and radio frequency oscillators
* robotics and the "AND" logic gate
* X-rays Tubes using the bremsstrahlung process
* devices for ionized gases
* devices for high field emission
* devices for charged particle beams
* methods for providing extremely low level of resistance to the passage of electrical current
* voltage multiplication circuitry
* devices for high voltage discharges
* devices for lightning protection
* Magnifying Transmitter
* VTOL aircraft
* Dynamic theory of gravity
* concepts for electric vehicles
and wireless electricity transmission. :eek:

It's also said that he invented a completely free form of power and how to move it about, as well as a super doomsday weapon. Don't know how accurate those reports are though...

Anyway, brilliant man - just not good enough on the commercial front.

A lot of his research that the FBI took is apparently still classified so who knows.

And you dont see it being used.. hmm
why ?
Lotsa Love

Watch the video clip. It was thought to be hard to meter and charge for wireless electricity at the time. And Tesla had this crazy idea of making power free worldwide which his particular investor also didn't find very tasteful.
AND Tesla only wrote down 1/3(if I recall correctly) of how his inventions worked. So 2/3 of what he knew went with him when he died. Some of the rest the FBI took and classified.

Which is irritating to say the least. The guys ideas were so far advanced we still haven't got a clue on how to make some of them work.

Indeed. That and he was just so damn loopy. I've read snippits of his bio and believe me, he was loco. So loco he managed to consider and do what most considered impossible. Maybe insanity is a virtue. :)

Thank you, could not watch it because i am capped, hence i exist on BB as a common factor cappingment. I do not think his idea was crazy of having the dream of making power free worldwide, if he did, humanity would have been more advanced than it is today with the commercial restrictions. Sure, since his investor wanted currency and not progress and the better of lives. Wireless electricity would be so benificial, since it would throw batteries out of wireless mice, pen tablets even more no more chords.., just set up your pc and non major consuming appliances anywhere in the home.
It is upsetting that the Military/FBI took and made them classified where they could have been shared with humanity.
Thank you very much, life would have been much more ahead if the wireless electricity was around.
Lotsa love and huggles

It pisses me off that people who would change the world will never get the chance to because the corporate world wants a big, fat fckn paycheck every month. Tesla was a genius. One that could have changed our world forever if he was given the time of day.

Yeah I meant crazy in a sarcastic way. It would have been awesome if he was allowed to finish that particular project. It still would be.

Don't worry he still managed to change the world forever. If its modern and considered cutting edge, it can be traced back to Tesla. PC's, modern cars, GPS, interwebz, TV, cellphones, batteries, radio, videogames, programming... ect.
