Friend of mine told me to do a rather lengthy lane change under the gantries to avoid the cameras. So while up in jozi last month with my personal vehicle I decided to test it out where safe and interestingly enough, out of the 6 pictures scamral sent to me, none of them are from when I did the lane change. Mind you I only past under a few getting in and out of jozi. It probably doesn't work or mean anything but just something I'd thought I'd share.
I have no intention of paying my etoll account as one of the reasons is how do I even pay it from pe without having to register or eft.

They don't send a picture from each gantry, they send 3 pics per trip (from one gantry). Count your transactions, guaranteed they all got captured.

You have to wonder why they even bother with the 3 pics. We want all of them. By sending only the first/random three they prove nothing and that invoice looks like a great. 3 project if a very average student.

It makes for great firelighters :D

Speak for yourself. I'd be happy if those crunts never sent another letter in their (or my) life.

Yeah that's an old wive's tale.

Yeah that's an old wive's tale.

Etools aren't even a year old and already the old wives are telling tales!

When this rubbish first started, someone came on here and explained that the gantries start taking pics from way back, so things like changing lanes or tailgating are of no effect.

Doesn't work. I have pictures of where my vehicle is exactly between the two lanes.

The only way you can maybe avoid the camera is to make a well timed handbrake turn and pass under the gantry sideways for about 100m.. I tried it before but could only manage about 20m, still caught me.

because hes driving a crappy Hyundai accent! bet you in a BMW M3 its possible:D

yep...not exactly cheap gear they are rocking there.

Strange that ? You would think he had so much spare cash after buying the economical Hyundai it would not bother him....

Nope - there is truth to it. But it's rather difficult to do. The system rejects passages that are 3 lanes or more. If you were able to drive in in one lane and then able to exit 2 lanes over the system will reject the passage as it is 'impossible' for a car to have done this and it may have been a bird.
