Bwahahaha...

All of this just tells me it is correct to completely ignore the E-toll system. It will inevitably be shut down. Originally, I thought that non-compliance would kill it, but now I see the sheer idiocy of the system will do the job all by itself.

Question is, what is government going to do to try and climb down from this without massive epic loss of face??

Easy. Hang out a couple of scapegoats to dry. Claim they acted without oversight or authority in awarding the contracts. Claim to be listening to the voice of the people.

I'm starting to think that a astute player like Zuma know he needs a savior moment to keep GP. That moment will come when he declares e-tolling unworkable and scrap the system. Mac will be able to spin this for months.

That ship has sailed imo. This has been through branch after branch of government. There's no more "oh, we didn't know, it's someone else's fault" excuse left for them to use. Hence why they're pushing so hard for it...

You and I know that, but you can bet they believe their electorate is stupid enough to buy it.

They'll try it, and it will work for a minority. Most will see through it though. They under-estimate their own electorate for the most part.

Playing this out in my head I'm not sure if they'd necessarily win with this method. Not sure it's a viable tactic...

Yip. They've screwed the pooch with this shenanigan

I just hope they don't temporarily halt it to fix AARTO up 1st or worse, make e-tags compulsory

Just spilled some Cremora... can I have Friday afternoon off? You know, just in case it's Anthrax or something.

I guess we'll find out on Saturday, 5000 motorists and 3000 bikers, I wonder if their system will overheat? :D

I still can't believe that someone/company hasn't come up with the idea to print "No E-Tolls" stickers and place them over their number plate and protest/drive on the highway.

What's the cops going to do? Stop over 1000 cars/bikes?
