Back to my point. So since we're talking Hip Hop, am surprised that nobody is mentioning NAS's new album (Life Is Good), Lupe Fiasco's new album (Food & Liquor II: The Great American Rap Album Pt. 1) and also the very much talked about new kid on the block Joey BadA$$ and his two offerings. And locally (SA), REASON & Khuli Chana? Not Hip Hop enough?

Just putting it out there... ;-)

So over Nas... His rapping has been a bit weak lately IMO. Nas and Damian Marley - Distant Relatives was good, more because of Damian Marley though.
 
Been listening to OutKast quite a lot lately and I must say that music is timeless. Big Boi and Dre really are a talented bunch and its translated really well into Big Boi's last 2 albums (Sir Luscious Leftfoot: The Son of Chico Dusty and Viscious Lies and Dangerous Rumours), that funky hard hitting rap. I do wish they would do one last album

A bit weak "Lately"? When was the last solo offering NAS put out? Or which more recent material are you adding to this "NAS is weak" list you have going? And have you actually listened to "Life is Good".
 
The thing I love about Hip Hop are the lyrics in some of the songs. Some weird and funny, some cool and brilliant.

Yeah they were great. But I think they didn't part on good terms at all and it may be they never get back.

Tsume funnily enough, I'm listening to the track Rock Bottom off the Slim Shady LP, inspired by STS recent post. One of my favourite tracks of his off his best album.

That's the comedian acting in community. Didn't know that he was a rapper as well.

He's pretty sick, you should check him out on the 2012 BET Cypher. Also I'd recommend Yelawolf and Hopsin to you guys
