Anycase - I'm also waiting for infrastructure at my place, hence the need for iBurst in the meanwhile. And R1,500 is still << R2,800, should enable me to sell it again for say R1,300 or R1,000 or so.
 
Nah, I won't advertise my modem until ADSL is up & running. Place a wanted add on Gumtree for about R800, I can almost guarantee a response.

Done. The other guy is meeting me tomorrow to sell the modem for R1,500, but hopefully Gumtree comes to the rescue before that. Thanks for the suggestion!

Just for interest's sake - do you have the White (older) or black (newer) model?
 
I'll put a wanted add for you on the PS3ZA website in a while. We have sold & sourced quite a few on there as well.

so true - lol. this is my old/private account - one should not mix private avenues with business - I doubt I will make fortunes judging from the number of items I listed ;-)

I know - I was waiting for some comment. this must be my 3rd attempt to get rid of the iburst modem (even listed it on a R1 auction a few weeks back and no takers) - kinda indicates how far iburst has dropped. (I am just listing it for a nominal price, so that I don't attract fanboys, weirdos or hot swedish/dutch/brazilian soccer-fan-chicks)

Keep your modem. You'll need it when your cable is stolen. [You can use it on Prepaid]

I think that a stolen cable is still better than dealing with iburst - lol. although I have only had downtime once with Telkom for 1 day, it was more bearable to have no connectivity than slow/erratic iburst connectivity. I rather tether my phone or use a 3G stick.

i'm almost ready to dump iburst. over and above their non-replies to my queries, their call centre does not seem to know WHAT they're talking about. i could not get access to the internet for 2 days - the first guy at the call centre told me the problem is my "computer" and that i should phone "Dial-a-nerd". the 2nd one told me i have "no bandwith", despite the fact that i had 2GB the previous time i checked. while in the process of "topping up" my account, he suddenly realises there's a problem with the network???

... SiCk and TiReD of the instability of iburst connection. WhY can't they sort the problem out???
