The photo app is messed up. I was able to search on my camera roll for a particular year and month but now it's impossible.
Any ideas?

iOS 10.1 Beta on iPhone 7 Plus shows signs of improved RAM management

Lately, the RAM situation on Android has heard some mixed comments. Although some phones have higher amounts of RAM like 4GB to 6GB, these current-gen smartphones (Samsung's in particular) still manage to lag under heavy multitasking scenarios, despite having 4 or more GB of RAM. Not to mention the video of the Snapdragon 820 Note7 losing hard to the iPhone 6S in multitasking with only half as much RAM at 2GB.

BGR reports that although the iPhone 7 Plus initially showed no performance improvement over the iPhone 7, the iOS 10.1 Beta is now showing signs of improved RAM performance and far more apps are retaining their saved states than on iOS 10.0.X

Although the Beta shows these definite improvements of everyday performance, it’s not known exactly how much Apple will tweak the RAM management for the final release of the incremental update. It wouldn't make sense for Apple to step backwards from this choice. We'll wait til the final release of iOS 10.1 to see what the final performance change is.

When you use Apple’s Maps app to navigate during long road trips, you may sometimes have to park in a large parking lot you’re unfamiliar with, and you may forget where you parked your car. Heck, you may go to the mall down the street and forget where you car is parked on that gigantic lot.

Starting with iOS 10, Maps can remember you where you parked your car so you don’t have to.

To take advantage of this feature, your car needs to have a compatible head unit with either Bluetooth or CarPlay.

If you don’t have that, we’re sorry to inform you that you’re out of luck. If you have one, then all you have to do is pair your iPhone with your car’s head unit and then tweak a special setting.

After pairing your iPhone with your car’s head unit, follow these steps to let iOS keep track of your parked car for you:

Updated my iPad Air 2 to iOS 10.0.2 over the weekend, it's made it quite a bit smoother and a tad faster.

I find the Android-like design on the widgets weird, reminds me of early Android versions or even the widgets from Symbian S60v5 in the Nokia 5800xm and Nokia N97.

Overall decent update, some nice thought into the TouchID not unlocking until you press the Home button again, as before I often just wanted to see notifications but ended up with the dam thing unlocking.

EDIT: Anyone with an iPad 4 updated? How is it?
I am about to sell my iPad 4, but not sure if I should leave it on iOS 9.3.5 or go to 10.

Leave it on 9.3.5, the new owner can always update but you're bound to get at least one nugget who has decided iOS 10 is the worst thing in the world and only ios9 will do ;)

Anyone know how do you use the invisible ink function in ios10?
